Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how timwickstrom.com (the “Site”) collects, uses, and shares information. I’m aiming for clarity, not legalese.

1) Information you provide

Depending on how you use the Site, you may provide:

  • Profile information such as a display name (e.g., for comments)
  • User content such as comments, replies, reactions, and report reasons
  • Inquiry details when you submit speaking, media, or press kit requests

5) AI and automated processing

I may use automated systems, including AI-assisted technologies, to:

  • assess content for safety and policy compliance
  • prioritize items for human review
  • improve and operate community features

Automated decisions may result in content being posted, held for review, blocked, or removed. Human review may also be involved.

6) Email communications (no marketing by default)

If you verify your email or submit a form, I may email you for:

  • verification codes
  • security or abuse-related notices
  • moderation-related notices (when relevant)
  • important operational updates about features you use
  • comment/reply notifications if you enable them in the future (if/when offered)

I do not use your email for marketing without your explicit opt-in.

7) How I share information

I do not sell your personal information.

I may share information with service providers that help operate the Site, such as providers for:

  • hosting and content delivery
  • storage and databases
  • email delivery
  • analytics and performance monitoring
  • fraud/abuse prevention and moderation support

These providers are authorized to process information only as needed to provide services.

I may also disclose information to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.

10) Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. There is no single industry standard for DNT signals, so the Site may not respond to DNT.

11) International access

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

12) Children’s privacy

The Site is not intended for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me so I can delete it.

13) Security

I take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

14) Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent version.
