Welcome to timwickstrom.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, including posting comments, reactions, or submitting inquiries, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1) Who I am
The Site is operated by Tim Wickstrom (“I,” “me,” “my”). Contact: tim@wickstrom.me.
2) Site purpose and no professional advice
Content on the Site is for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site is legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. You are responsible for your decisions and actions.
3) Your account (lightweight verification)
Some features (comments, reactions, reporting) may require verifying your email. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your verification credentials/code private. You are responsible for activity conducted through your verified session.
I may suspend or restrict accounts or activity that violate these Terms or appear abusive.
4) User content (comments, replies, reactions, reports)
You are responsible for content you submit (“User Content”), including its legality, accuracy, and appropriateness.
You agree not to submit User Content that:
- is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or discriminatory
- includes personal data you do not have the right to share
- is pornographic or sexually explicit
- promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity
- contains malware, phishing, or other harmful code/links
- is spam or automated abuse (including bulk posting or scraping)
- infringes intellectual property rights
5) Moderation and enforcement
To keep the Site usable, I may moderate User Content. Content may be:
- posted immediately,
- held for review, or
- blocked.
I may edit, remove, or restrict visibility of User Content at any time for any reason, including suspected abuse. I’m not obligated to publish or retain any User Content.
6) Links
User Content may include links. I may treat links as a spam or safety signal and hold content for review. I’m not responsible for third-party websites or content.
7) Licenses you grant
By submitting User Content, you grant me a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that User Content on or in connection with the Site (including backups, security, and operation). You retain ownership of your User Content.
8) Intellectual property
The Site content (excluding User Content) is owned by me or my licensors and is protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Site or content without permission, except as allowed by law.
9) Open source and sample code
Code, projects, and examples shared on the Site or in linked repositories (such as GitHub) are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. I make no guarantees that any code is complete, accurate, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose. You use it entirely at your own risk.
Individual projects may include a license file (for example, MIT, Apache 2.0, or similar). Where a license is provided, that license governs your use of the project. Where no license is specified, standard copyright applies and no license is granted — you may read and reference the code, but you may not copy, modify, or distribute it without permission.
Third-party dependencies included in or referenced by my projects are subject to their own licenses and terms. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with those licenses independently.
Nothing in this section creates an obligation for me to maintain, update, or support any code or project shared on or through the Site.
10) Acceptable use; technical restrictions
You agree not to:
- attempt to bypass security or access controls
- probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities
- interfere with Site operation or degrade performance
- use bots or automation to submit content or requests without permission
11) Disclaimers and No Warranty
THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, I EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. I DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
12) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TIM WICKSTROM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SITE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SITE; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.
13) DMCA / Copyright Policy
I respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that any content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a notice to tim@wickstrom.me with the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing;

14) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tim Wickstrom from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that such parties may incur as a result of or arising from your User Content or your violation of these Terms.
15) Changes to the Site and Terms
I may update the Site or these Terms at any time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16) Severability and Integration
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable. These Terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the Site.
17) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict of law principles. Venue for disputes will be in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
